Food Map
About

An investigative activity that encourages pupils to bring in items of food packaging that they consume within a week (or alternatively take notes or pictures of packaging). The origin of each item of produce or ingredient is marked on a world map using markers or stickers to create an overview of the origins of some common foods consumed in the UK.
The activity includes 3 extended activities, including measuring distances of food transportation, making a ‘food pledge box’ and using the items of packaging for crafts activities.
