Getting to Know You Letter
About

This resource comprises differentiated sheets and teacher notes. For this activity, pupils will write letters to people who may have a different lived experience to them. The letter templates allow pupils to tell someone else about themselves as well as asking any questions that they would like to know.
The worksheets are 2 differentiated sheets – a letter sheet with prompts for each paragraph and an option to ‘fill in the blanks’ to form a letter for lower level and pupils with ALN. A blank sheet can be used for MAT learners.
This activity could be part of a project that connects learners with local community groups, care homes, charitable and international organisations and lends itself to an intergenerational project or an investigation into migration and cultural identity.
