These Be The Verses was a collaboration between writer Patrick Jones and director Kieran Evans, exploring the link between mental health and austerity in young people through film, sound and text.

Borne out of numerous conversations and observations of life under austerity, within Wales and especially around Evans’ home county of Pembrokeshire, this project came very much from their desire and passion to place voices of the disenfranchised at the heart of a compelling piece of multi-sensory theatre.

Patrick is currently Artist in Residence with The Royal College of Psychiatrists (Wales/ Cymru) and drew on expertise to further inform the work.

Kieran Evans is a Welsh film-maker whose work has included feature films, documentaries, music videos, experimental shorts and visual installations.
