Julia Thomas

Associate Director

Julia is Associate Director at National Theatre Wales, she started her journey as a director as an Emerging Director on NTW’s A Provincial Life.

Julia was the RTYDS director at Curve, Leicester and prior to this and was Resident Director at the National Theatre Studio in partnership with National Theatre Wales. She is also a member of the Directors Lab at the Lincoln Center Theatre New York.

Julia is an experienced Dramaturge and facilitator, establishing the WritersLab at Curve. She is a Festival Director for National Theatre Connections and has delivered the Night Out Young Promoters project for ACW to young people across South Wales.

At National Theatre Wales Julia offers dramaturgical support, ideas and production development planning and support to theatre makers who are engaged with NTW’s Creative Development programme.
