Raidene Carter

Raidene Carter is a theatre and arts producer with over 15 years experience of developing new work out of participation, community and artist development projects. Cardiff born and bred, she left Wales to study at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama before going on to work at a number of notable venues and companies: The Lyric Hammersmith, Talawa Theatre Company, the Albany Deptford and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, before returning to the Albany as Head of Creative Programmes in 2012, where she led an expansive arts and community programme across 5 performance spaces and outdoor settings.

In 2018, Raidene joined leading young people’s touring company, Theatre Centre, where she is currently Executive Director and Joint CEO, working closely with the Artistic Director and Board to commission and produce new theatre for young audiences, and to develop the company’s vision of youth arts and activism.
