HEAD OF CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
I graduated from Dartington College of Arts with a degree in Contemporary Theatre and Choreographic Practices and have since then been working as a performer/deviser, producer and facilitator. I joined National Theatre Wales in 2013 as Creative Associate, where I was responsible for WalesLab, a unique initiative that placed artists across the landscape of Wales to develop new performance ideas. I am now Head of Creative Development, overseeing the various research and development projects undertaken by the company as well as supporting the development of independent artists through the company’s new Creative Development framework.
Previously, I was working as Associate Producer at Wales Millennium Centre, involved in the Centre’s programming, producing and co-producing activities including producing the Incubator Project, Wales Millennium Centre’s artist development project.
I got into theatre and performance from a young age and have met many encouraging and generous people along the way. As a result I have become really passionate about community-focused/ participatory projects and look to share the things I have picked up with anyone who will listen. I continually look for new ways to involve people in the work that I do.
