This resource contains 10 animal fact files for 10 different types of common British wildlife. The suggested activity is for pupils to split into groups and use these for a hot seating exercise.
Pupils can either be split into groups of 2 or 3 – if groups of 2, MAT pupils can research animals from scratch instead of using a fact file as a guide. Recommendations for 5 other common animals are suggested in the teacher notes for these other groups.
Once pupils have researched their animal in set areas, a hot seating exercise can take place where pupils ‘are’ the animal and are answering questions based on what they have found.
