Supported by NTW, Common Wealth started the year off exploring undercover policing and injustice.

Common Wealth is a site-specific, political theatre company, based in Bradford and Cardiff and working across the UK. We have been supporting the development of a new project as one of our seed commissions.

This research and development (R&D) is inspired by the work of Police Spies Out of Lives and local activists. Working with a group of multidisciplinary artists whose work has political and activist themes, they raged, ranted and raved in the back room of the Royal Oak pub in Splott, Cardiff.

“There is so much to be learned about the horrific treatment of activists and the lack of accountability by the state, and so much joy to be celebrated in the actions of activists who have helped shape our futures.”
