Theatre doesn’t exist without its makers
Creative development at NTW takes many forms, but the premise is pretty simple: we’re here to support and create opportunities for artists, creatives, theatre makers, collectives - whoever you are - to build your practice and make your work. Work that pushes at the edges, and changes the face of theatre in Wales.
Supported by the John Ellerman Foundation and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
Connect with us
We know that the artists who make up this industry need to be more representative of the Wales it creates for. This means opening up, asking big questions about what theatre is, who can make it and the role it plays in the world.
We need new ways of making that includes more people and tells a broader set of stories. Generosity, play, connection, risk-taking - all play a role in getting us there…
NTW is an organisation, and organisations can feel inaccessible and scary. That really isn’t who we are. If you’re a performer from, or based in Wales, we want to hear from you. We want to get to know you, and we want you to get to know us.
Do you want to come and chat? Or do you want us to come and see your work? It all starts with a conversation. Really, it does.
