Miguela Gonzalez

Miguela is a diversity and inclusion specialist and former journalist, who has spent more than two decades working and volunteering in the arts and media. She is currently the Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Abcam, a global life sciences firm.

She previously worked with the BBC for 15 years, mostly as a journalist, but also in data analysis, project management and subject matter expertise roles. In her role as the BBC’s Diversity & Inclusion Lead for the UK Nations, she designed, project managed and implemented the extensive consultation that led to the broadcaster’s current 3-year Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
